Bauls are a religious and cultural group of India, best known for their songs and poems to the god who dwells within. Baul Song is the mystical song of the Baul religious community. They nourish one kind of worldly religious tenet that formed on the basis of the essence of the body (the doctrine that the body is the seat of all truths) and on the knowledge about God. This artist can often be identified by their distinctive clothes and especially, the Ektara, is the common musical instrument for the Baul singers. This is a theatrical performance mainly involving the worship of the cult goddess, BONBIBI, to seek her blessings before going for collection of honey and wax. This is also considered to be the an emblem of syncretic nature and region.
